Cleaning as opposed to Disinfection is a process that requires mechanical action with abrasion using suitable tools that offer these qualities and even surfactant action to more effectively carry away the dislodged matter.

Cleaning is an extremely important step in Clean Room Contamination Control and it’s purpose is to adequately prepare the surface to receive the next round of disinfection. This includes removal of previous disinfectant residues which could otherwise form a barrier between the next round of disinfection and the surface.
